“My plan b is we are going to figure it out!”

In this episode of Cash Flow Pro, we talk with Neil Schoepp, founder of BulMac Properties. We discuss everything from:

  • The importance of mindset
  • Looking for real estate education that resonates with you
  • Curating the right team for success
  • Sharing knowledge with future generations
  • Translating errors into future wins

Neil Schoepp has been based out of NYC for 40+ years. He worked for the city to provide for his family. The goal was not to get rich but to be able to give no matter what. Neil was an officer and a fireman for twenty-four years until he realized he needed something more – real estate.

He began to educate himself with tools like our Cash Flow Pro podcast and developed his real estate portfolio and teaching methods to help others do the same. Neil created “Systems To Goals,” or STG, a strategy founded on the belief that we as individuals chart our course.

If you are interested in hearing more about how your vision can guide you to your goals, DO NOT MISS out on this episode!

[neil_schoepp]: i'm fantastic case it's great to be
here

9
00:00:32,025 --> 00:00:32,146
[casey_]: what

10
00:00:32,637 --> 00:00:34,524
[neil_schoepp]: great to share some some ideas

11
00:00:35,080 --> 00:00:39,086
[casey_]: yeah man i i'm excited to have
you here because i know there's a lot

12
00:00:39,126 --> 00:00:42,372
[casey_]: of people you know you you and
i talked a little bit there about mind

13
00:00:42,492 --> 00:00:45,016
[casey_]: set and limiting beliefs and and things
that

14
00:00:44,989 --> 00:00:45,586
[neil_schoepp]: okay

15
00:00:45,056 --> 00:00:51,442
[casey_]: people people have that are just that
are just like i can't do that you

16
00:00:51,462 --> 00:00:56,410
[casey_]: know i can't do that because or
i'm not you know i can't go

17
00:00:56,419 --> 00:00:56,439
[neil_schoepp]: o

18
00:00:56,550 --> 00:00:57,311
[casey_]: out and buy

19
00:00:57,226 --> 00:00:57,369
[neil_schoepp]: ye

20
00:00:57,512 --> 00:01:03,901
[casey_]: ten million dollar apartment building well why
not okay well because instead of just saying

21
00:01:03,981 --> 00:01:08,086
[casey_]: i don't know how people start making
excuses as to why they can't and then

22
00:01:08,266 --> 00:01:12,892
[casey_]: and in all reality they just don't
know how and that's what we want to

23
00:01:12,932 --> 00:01:15,416
[casey_]: tell people i mean that's what you
want to show people is how you know

24
00:01:16,217 --> 00:01:16,518
[casey_]: this make

25
00:01:16,496 --> 00:01:16,678
[neil_schoepp]: yes

26
00:01:16,578 --> 00:01:19,863
[casey_]: it happen so why don't you kind
o ni want you kind of start with

27
00:01:20,003 --> 00:01:24,673
[casey_]: telling us a little bit about yourself
and and how you i started and how

28
00:01:25,616 --> 00:01:28,365
[casey_]: you kind of went through that mind
set shift that you so much try to

29
00:01:28,425 --> 00:01:29,368
[casey_]: talk to people about now

30
00:01:30,537 --> 00:01:34,964
[neil_schoepp]: so i grew up in new york
city forty plus years in new york city

31
00:01:35,966 --> 00:01:39,757
[neil_schoepp]: i listened to my father and i
went to work for the city because if

32
00:01:39,877 --> 00:01:43,552
[neil_schoepp]: i worked for the city i'd always
be able to provide for my family but

33
00:01:43,592 --> 00:01:47,319
[neil_schoepp]: i wouldn't i would never have to
worry about providing for my family i wouldn't

34
00:01:47,359 --> 00:01:50,322
[neil_schoepp]: get rich but i wouldn't have to
worry about providing for the family and that's

35
00:01:50,403 --> 00:01:53,707
[neil_schoepp]: exactly what he told me so go
to work for the city and that's what

36
00:01:53,767 --> 00:01:56,909
[neil_schoepp]: i did i had every kid's exacter
i was a new york

37
00:01:56,910 --> 00:01:58,320
[casey_]: yeah

38
00:01:56,969 --> 00:01:59,123
[neil_schoepp]: city police officer and a new york
city fireman

39
00:01:59,580 --> 00:01:59,825
[casey_]: yeah

40
00:01:59,836 --> 00:02:05,799
[neil_schoepp]: and what i did that for twenty
four years and a lot of ups and

41
00:02:05,839 --> 00:02:07,343
[neil_schoepp]: downs but a lot of fun

42
00:02:08,080 --> 00:02:08,241
[casey_]: yeah

43
00:02:08,296 --> 00:02:09,197
[neil_schoepp]: and i got to the point

44
00:02:09,660 --> 00:02:09,863
[casey_]: yes

45
00:02:10,119 --> 00:02:15,127
[neil_schoepp]: i got to the point where i
wanted something more and what was that more

46
00:02:15,168 --> 00:02:20,588
[neil_schoepp]: that more turned out to be real
estate and i went out there and i

47
00:02:20,789 --> 00:02:27,233
[neil_schoepp]: searched out education a lot of the
listeners i found bigger pockets bigger pockets that

48
00:02:27,333 --> 00:02:34,385
[neil_schoepp]: led me to my men to jakondgeno
or wheel barrow profits and i started going

49
00:02:34,485 --> 00:02:40,711
[neil_schoepp]: down the real estate rabbit hole and
that real estate rabbit hole let me too

50
00:02:42,016 --> 00:02:47,926
[neil_schoepp]: crushing my limiting beliefs and mind set
and now i believe i'm on a mission

51
00:02:48,467 --> 00:02:52,373
[neil_schoepp]: to spread the word that if you
can change your mind set and you can

52
00:02:52,413 --> 00:02:55,110
[neil_schoepp]: work on your mind set there's nothin
you can't accomplish

53
00:02:55,551 --> 00:03:00,658
[casey_]: that's exactly right and and the thing
is that when we start talking about mindset

54
00:03:00,878 --> 00:03:07,911
[casey_]: and we start telling people that hey
just i'm not telling you you're thinking wrong

55
00:03:07,951 --> 00:03:11,434
[casey_]: i'm not telling you you need to
be doing something different i'm just simply telling

56
00:03:11,494 --> 00:03:13,756
[casey_]: you hey believe

57
00:03:13,687 --> 00:03:13,930
[neil_schoepp]: yes

58
00:03:13,796 --> 00:03:16,519
[casey_]: in yourself you know what i'm saying
i mean does that make sense

59
00:03:17,987 --> 00:03:25,786
[neil_schoepp]: it's absolutely accurate we are exactly where
we belong on our journey we didn't do

60
00:03:25,889 --> 00:03:26,640
[casey_]: just

61
00:03:25,906 --> 00:03:30,634
[neil_schoepp]: anything wrong to get to where we
are it's all part of that process

62
00:03:31,190 --> 00:03:31,635
[casey_]: that's right

63
00:03:31,456 --> 00:03:37,366
[neil_schoepp]: and i'm not telling you you're thinking
wrong what i am telling you is that

64
00:03:38,556 --> 00:03:43,967
[neil_schoepp]: people that are two or three years
ahead of you think differently

65
00:03:44,770 --> 00:03:48,434
[casey_]: that's right and then that's and that's
why a lot of times you know what

66
00:03:48,474 --> 00:03:49,215
[casey_]: we hear is

67
00:03:49,786 --> 00:03:51,256
[neil_schoepp]: oh

68
00:03:50,096 --> 00:03:53,670
[casey_]: is it so important to surround yourself
with

69
00:03:53,728 --> 00:03:53,829
[neil_schoepp]: oh

70
00:03:54,131 --> 00:03:57,358
[casey_]: people that you want to be like
right and

71
00:03:58,066 --> 00:03:58,354
[neil_schoepp]: yes

72
00:03:58,911 --> 00:04:02,977
[casey_]: once you kind of step out because
the thing is is that a lot of

73
00:04:03,017 --> 00:04:06,623
[casey_]: people want to hold others back right
they want to they want to keep them

74
00:04:06,724 --> 00:04:10,692
[casey_]: on their level so that they don't
ever that they don't ever feel in ferior

75
00:04:11,255 --> 00:04:15,132
[casey_]: to who you know you if you
were in the room with them right and

76
00:04:15,172 --> 00:04:20,217
[casey_]: so they tend to just kind of
shield those they tend to kind of say

77
00:04:20,337 --> 00:04:24,373
[casey_]: things that make you feel like you
can't be better than what you are and

78
00:04:24,276 --> 00:04:24,437
[neil_schoepp]: yes

79
00:04:24,493 --> 00:04:30,565
[casey_]: so when you start surrounding yourself by
people who are better than you then

80
00:04:30,530 --> 00:04:30,674
[neil_schoepp]: eh

81
00:04:30,826 --> 00:04:34,963
[casey_]: you naturally get kind of i don't
know if you want to say tugged along

82
00:04:35,043 --> 00:04:36,065
[casey_]: or pulled up or

83
00:04:36,346 --> 00:04:36,366
[neil_schoepp]: m

84
00:04:36,426 --> 00:04:40,462
[casey_]: or you really start elevating you're you're
thinking

85
00:04:42,537 --> 00:04:44,842
[neil_schoepp]: you get pulled up that's exactly

86
00:04:44,372 --> 00:04:44,453
[casey_]: ah

87
00:04:44,862 --> 00:04:49,394
[neil_schoepp]: what happens because i have de limit
in belief a great limit in belief right

88
00:04:50,987 --> 00:04:53,274
[neil_schoepp]: i can't buy real estate with no
money down

89
00:04:54,180 --> 00:04:54,380
[casey_]: yeah

90
00:04:55,166 --> 00:04:58,974
[neil_schoepp]: now it may not be easy to
buy real estate with no money down

91
00:04:59,300 --> 00:04:59,422
[casey_]: yep

92
00:05:00,096 --> 00:05:03,959
[neil_schoepp]: but it's possible to do it and

93
00:05:03,850 --> 00:05:03,973
[casey_]: yeah

94
00:05:04,442 --> 00:05:05,869
[neil_schoepp]: it doesn't have to be your money

95
00:05:06,490 --> 00:05:06,632
[casey_]: yep

96
00:05:07,836 --> 00:05:11,783
[neil_schoepp]: so i have no money i need
money to make money well you need access

97
00:05:12,343 --> 00:05:16,871
[neil_schoepp]: to money or equity or collateral but
it doesn't necessarily have to be cold hard

98
00:05:16,951 --> 00:05:18,694
[neil_schoepp]: cash in the bank you

99
00:05:18,670 --> 00:05:18,812
[casey_]: yep

100
00:05:18,754 --> 00:05:25,687
[neil_schoepp]: can build relay i just listen to
a podcast and be person that was on

101
00:05:25,727 --> 00:05:29,014
[neil_schoepp]: the podcast was fifteen years old

102
00:05:29,310 --> 00:05:29,470
[casey_]: yeah

103
00:05:30,381 --> 00:05:31,025
[neil_schoepp]: and he brought a million

104
00:05:31,058 --> 00:05:31,320
[casey_]: yeah

105
00:05:31,066 --> 00:05:31,872
[neil_schoepp]: dollar piece of property

106
00:05:32,971 --> 00:05:33,232
[casey_]: i mean

107
00:05:34,256 --> 00:05:34,316
[neil_schoepp]: if

108
00:05:34,276 --> 00:05:34,457
[casey_]: that

109
00:05:34,356 --> 00:05:36,760
[neil_schoepp]: that's the crstian women and beliefs he
went out

110
00:05:36,740 --> 00:05:37,410
[casey_]: yeah

111
00:05:36,841 --> 00:05:37,562
[neil_schoepp]: he raised three

112
00:05:37,440 --> 00:05:37,747
[casey_]: oh

113
00:05:37,602 --> 00:05:41,729
[neil_schoepp]: hundred thousand dollars at fifteen years old
he raised three hundred thousand dollars and he

114
00:05:41,789 --> 00:05:44,593
[neil_schoepp]: took down a small apartment complex i
think it was

115
00:05:44,610 --> 00:05:44,734
[casey_]: ye

116
00:05:45,094 --> 00:05:46,022
[neil_schoepp]: sixteen year it's

117
00:05:46,943 --> 00:05:47,971
[casey_]: yeah and see and

118
00:05:48,946 --> 00:05:49,249
[neil_schoepp]: oh

119
00:05:50,101 --> 00:05:53,049
[casey_]: what do you think he's going to
be doing at twenty six right or

120
00:05:53,077 --> 00:05:53,097
[neil_schoepp]: i

121
00:05:53,109 --> 00:05:55,174
[casey_]: twenty five whatever i mean you know
ten

122
00:05:55,157 --> 00:05:55,337
[neil_schoepp]: well

123
00:05:55,234 --> 00:05:55,776
[casey_]: years from now

124
00:05:56,058 --> 00:05:56,619
[neil_schoepp]: he's twenty

125
00:05:56,417 --> 00:05:56,598
[casey_]: just

126
00:05:56,799 --> 00:06:00,465
[neil_schoepp]: he's twenty eight and he has seventy
million dollars assets

127
00:06:01,540 --> 00:06:01,881
[casey_]: right now

128
00:06:02,646 --> 00:06:02,808
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

129
00:06:03,267 --> 00:06:04,915
[casey_]: you're saying he that was his first

130
00:06:04,906 --> 00:06:05,266
[neil_schoepp]: wntyeight

131
00:06:04,975 --> 00:06:05,316
[casey_]: deal with

132
00:06:05,326 --> 00:06:10,773
[neil_schoepp]: now yeah this is when he when
he was seventeen when he was fifteen he

133
00:06:10,893 --> 00:06:12,938
[neil_schoepp]: purchased his first property and

134
00:06:13,060 --> 00:06:13,181
[casey_]: yeah

135
00:06:13,240 --> 00:06:18,768
[neil_schoepp]: now he's twenty eight and his millions
under that's under management so

136
00:06:18,850 --> 00:06:19,554
[casey_]: yeah yeah

137
00:06:19,851 --> 00:06:21,414
[neil_schoepp]: uhathiposib

138
00:06:20,178 --> 00:06:22,570
[casey_]: and mean and c yeah

139
00:06:22,598 --> 00:06:22,680
[neil_schoepp]: ah

140
00:06:22,951 --> 00:06:27,999
[casey_]: and that's why i say i mean
it's the limiting beliefs are so like they're

141
00:06:28,039 --> 00:06:34,710
[casey_]: so rampant in our society that people
just you know and sometimes people just want

142
00:06:35,111 --> 00:06:37,074
[casey_]: to write i mean we have to
give

143
00:06:36,946 --> 00:06:37,348
[neil_schoepp]: i don't want to

144
00:06:37,335 --> 00:06:37,395
[casey_]: we

145
00:06:37,389 --> 00:06:37,510
[neil_schoepp]: leave

146
00:06:37,455 --> 00:06:37,575
[casey_]: have

147
00:06:37,530 --> 00:06:37,610
[neil_schoepp]: the

148
00:06:37,615 --> 00:06:37,675
[casey_]: to

149
00:06:37,691 --> 00:06:38,013
[neil_schoepp]: come

150
00:06:38,096 --> 00:06:42,483
[casey_]: lay that out there that sometimes people
just they're like you know i'm perfectly content

151
00:06:42,884 --> 00:06:47,051
[casey_]: the way and that's fine because it
takes all kinds for this world to keep

152
00:06:47,151 --> 00:06:53,364
[casey_]: on spending um but when we were
entrepreneurs and we're out looking for opportunity every

153
00:06:53,424 --> 00:06:59,474
[casey_]: day um you know you have to
know not only how to find that opportunity

154
00:06:59,575 --> 00:07:02,940
[casey_]: or where to be looking for that
opportunity but what that opportunity is and how

155
00:07:03,000 --> 00:07:04,583
[casey_]: it presents itself and that's

156
00:07:04,586 --> 00:07:04,687
[neil_schoepp]: have

157
00:07:04,623 --> 00:07:04,743
[casey_]: what

158
00:07:04,707 --> 00:07:04,768
[neil_schoepp]: to

159
00:07:04,783 --> 00:07:04,883
[casey_]: you

160
00:07:04,808 --> 00:07:04,869
[neil_schoepp]: be

161
00:07:04,964 --> 00:07:05,204
[casey_]: learn

162
00:07:04,990 --> 00:07:05,151
[neil_schoepp]: open

163
00:07:05,364 --> 00:07:11,583
[casey_]: from that's what you learn from from
surrounding yourself people that are you know one

164
00:07:11,623 --> 00:07:15,537
[casey_]: step above or two steps above where
you want to where you are and so

165
00:07:16,756 --> 00:07:19,741
[neil_schoepp]: go back i want to stop right
there for a quick second case

166
00:07:19,920 --> 00:07:20,081
[casey_]: okay

167
00:07:20,642 --> 00:07:24,449
[neil_schoepp]: go back and re listen to what
case just said because he just nailed it

168
00:07:25,591 --> 00:07:31,140
[neil_schoepp]: when you are around the right people
you are open to seeing the opportunities the

169
00:07:31,260 --> 00:07:37,376
[neil_schoepp]: opportunities are all around you every single
day we're just not in tune to recognize

170
00:07:37,396 --> 00:07:39,484
[neil_schoepp]: in them and then take an action
on them

171
00:07:39,920 --> 00:07:47,784
[casey_]: yep that's exactly right and and that's
that's i mean that's exactly right and

172
00:07:47,858 --> 00:07:47,939
[neil_schoepp]: you

173
00:07:47,984 --> 00:07:48,084
[casey_]: you

174
00:07:48,019 --> 00:07:48,221
[neil_schoepp]: knew

175
00:07:48,285 --> 00:07:48,545
[casey_]: have

176
00:07:48,362 --> 00:07:48,422
[neil_schoepp]: it

177
00:07:48,665 --> 00:07:55,096
[casey_]: to know what that opportunity looks like
and unless you unless you're open to learning

178
00:07:55,786 --> 00:07:56,054
[neil_schoepp]: yes

179
00:07:55,817 --> 00:07:56,859
[casey_]: unless you're open to

180
00:07:58,066 --> 00:07:59,356
[neil_schoepp]: oh

181
00:07:59,420 --> 00:08:04,616
[casey_]: well unless you're open to just unless
you're just receptive to an idea that may

182
00:08:04,676 --> 00:08:11,539
[casey_]: be something is different than what you
thought or can be done differently than what

183
00:08:11,599 --> 00:08:15,826
[casey_]: you thought then it's you know you
might as well not be even looking because

184
00:08:15,886 --> 00:08:18,791
[casey_]: you're if you're not open to the
idea that he may i was wrong or

185
00:08:18,871 --> 00:08:22,477
[casey_]: hey maybe i do need to mind
shift or hey so so you know it's

186
00:08:22,517 --> 00:08:28,427
[casey_]: a process and once you start with
i need to change okay that's the first

187
00:08:28,487 --> 00:08:31,692
[casey_]: step now next thing is what need
to change and then the next step is

188
00:08:31,773 --> 00:08:35,459
[casey_]: is how do you change and and
and then on down through there so you

189
00:08:35,519 --> 00:08:42,370
[casey_]: know with all that means said the
whole mind set program that well pro grams

190
00:08:42,390 --> 00:08:46,956
[casey_]: that are out there are kind of
all just a slightly different

191
00:08:46,678 --> 00:08:46,699
[neil_schoepp]: a

192
00:08:47,096 --> 00:08:48,538
[casey_]: angle on the same principle

193
00:08:49,646 --> 00:08:54,495
[neil_schoepp]: it's all the same principles it's what
resonates most with you as an individual because

194
00:08:54,535 --> 00:08:54,875
[neil_schoepp]: everybody

195
00:08:54,811 --> 00:08:54,935
[casey_]: yeah

196
00:08:54,915 --> 00:08:56,658
[neil_schoepp]: learns differently so i'm

197
00:08:56,681 --> 00:08:56,822
[casey_]: well

198
00:08:56,718 --> 00:08:56,979
[neil_schoepp]: a very

199
00:08:56,842 --> 00:08:58,830
[casey_]: and that's why these got

200
00:08:58,101 --> 00:08:58,862
[neil_schoepp]: speak very fast

201
00:08:59,680 --> 00:08:59,821
[casey_]: yeah

202
00:09:00,044 --> 00:09:04,503
[neil_schoepp]: so we'll need some that speaks slower
and it has a more calm demeanour

203
00:09:05,210 --> 00:09:06,552
[casey_]: yeah and that's why

204
00:09:06,496 --> 00:09:07,156
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

205
00:09:06,592 --> 00:09:11,159
[casey_]: these podcasts are so valuable to a
lot of people out there because when when

206
00:09:11,240 --> 00:09:19,136
[casey_]: people hear what you're doing and there
they're actually able to be hypothetically in a

207
00:09:19,196 --> 00:09:27,616
[casey_]: room with us right now and here
us talking without actually having to leave the

208
00:09:27,656 --> 00:09:29,640
[casey_]: physicality where they're at an and and

209
00:09:29,566 --> 00:09:30,526
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

210
00:09:29,680 --> 00:09:31,383
[casey_]: they can learn why they're doing something
else so

211
00:09:31,681 --> 00:09:31,782
[neil_schoepp]: so

212
00:09:32,124 --> 00:09:34,347
[casey_]: um well let's talk a little bit
about

213
00:09:34,376 --> 00:09:34,600
[neil_schoepp]: okay

214
00:09:34,648 --> 00:09:39,356
[casey_]: bull mac property s and maybe how
you got started because i know we have

215
00:09:39,396 --> 00:09:45,526
[casey_]: a lot of beginning indicators beginning capital
raisers beginning people out there that

216
00:09:45,676 --> 00:09:47,866
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

217
00:09:45,967 --> 00:09:50,715
[casey_]: that want to not necessarily know how
to make that mind shift let's say they've

218
00:09:50,755 --> 00:09:55,182
[casey_]: made that mind shift and mind set
shift and now they want to start diving

219
00:09:55,302 --> 00:09:57,686
[casey_]: into the real estate world what what

220
00:09:57,616 --> 00:09:57,777
[neil_schoepp]: ye

221
00:09:57,807 --> 00:09:59,978
[casey_]: tell us a little bit about bull
mack and how that started

222
00:10:01,496 --> 00:10:08,583
[neil_schoepp]: so bum started because i had small
properties right a couple of single families do

223
00:10:08,663 --> 00:10:11,185
[neil_schoepp]: plexus and i wanted economies a scale

224
00:10:11,780 --> 00:10:11,903
[casey_]: yep

225
00:10:11,906 --> 00:10:17,395
[neil_schoepp]: specifically i wanted the control that commercial
multi family affords you

226
00:10:17,492 --> 00:10:18,540
[casey_]: m m

227
00:10:18,848 --> 00:10:24,583
[neil_schoepp]: so what i did was i then
went out and built my education and i

228
00:10:24,744 --> 00:10:29,932
[neil_schoepp]: formed a partnership with a couple of
individuals actually my nephew

229
00:10:30,480 --> 00:10:30,640
[casey_]: oh

230
00:10:30,593 --> 00:10:34,146
[neil_schoepp]: who's jana virginia bull max based in
virginia

231
00:10:34,924 --> 00:10:35,610
[casey_]: hm

232
00:10:35,190 --> 00:10:40,193
[neil_schoepp]: and he had the market knowledge i
had the real estate knowledge and we put

233
00:10:40,374 --> 00:10:43,521
[neil_schoepp]: that together we brought in a third
partner

234
00:10:43,304 --> 00:10:43,366
[casey_]: ah

235
00:10:43,601 --> 00:10:46,267
[neil_schoepp]: that had the maintenance knowledge

236
00:10:46,760 --> 00:10:46,962
[casey_]: okay

237
00:10:47,008 --> 00:10:50,874
[neil_schoepp]: so i have somebody that knows the
market inside and out i have somebody that

238
00:10:51,415 --> 00:10:58,247
[neil_schoepp]: knows real estate and has connections to
the real estate realm or the knowledge and

239
00:10:58,287 --> 00:11:04,300
[neil_schoepp]: then i have someone that can fix
anything my he head of maintenance my other

240
00:11:04,340 --> 00:11:09,609
[neil_schoepp]: partner he can fix anything it's absolutely
amazing so when i go and look at

241
00:11:09,670 --> 00:11:14,365
[neil_schoepp]: properties now i have the team in
place i know if the area is an

242
00:11:14,466 --> 00:11:18,020
[neil_schoepp]: area i want to be in because
somebody on my team is telling me this

243
00:11:18,060 --> 00:11:23,817
[neil_schoepp]: is where we want to be and
when i initially a big advantage we get

244
00:11:23,877 --> 00:11:29,180
[neil_schoepp]: out of it is when i bring
my the partner there and he walks the

245
00:11:29,220 --> 00:11:33,668
[neil_schoepp]: property he's like yeah i know this
is going to need and he can give

246
00:11:33,828 --> 00:11:37,715
[neil_schoepp]: a ball park for that initial under
writing he can give a ball park of

247
00:11:38,306 --> 00:11:43,063
[neil_schoepp]: how much it's going to cost to
put that value component in there

248
00:11:43,490 --> 00:11:43,611
[casey_]: yeah

249
00:11:43,825 --> 00:11:44,106
[neil_schoepp]: so that

250
00:11:44,156 --> 00:11:44,297
[casey_]: yeah

251
00:11:44,206 --> 00:11:50,190
[neil_schoepp]: we can be very quick and competitive
right from i mean our one not even

252
00:11:50,290 --> 00:11:51,213
[neil_schoepp]: day one hour one

253
00:11:51,730 --> 00:11:57,842
[casey_]: ah well and that's i mean and
that's the team that's what they always say

254
00:11:58,003 --> 00:12:03,532
[casey_]: is in this business is the team
makes everything from the deal all the way

255
00:12:03,632 --> 00:12:08,100
[casey_]: through to the profit um and having
the right team around you

256
00:12:08,716 --> 00:12:09,144
[neil_schoepp]: yes

257
00:12:09,762 --> 00:12:13,488
[casey_]: is definitely that and when you got
some i that's the that's the mrfixit of

258
00:12:13,609 --> 00:12:20,059
[casey_]: that type of scenario man that's that's
unreal so what geogratyou said so you said

259
00:12:20,220 --> 00:12:23,105
[casey_]: start you owned a bunch of small
properties do you still own those or have

260
00:12:23,165 --> 00:12:27,412
[casey_]: you are you scaled into to like
you said you wanted economies of scale which

261
00:12:27,452 --> 00:12:33,183
[casey_]: we all want obviously where geographically speaking
what what do you have and then a

262
00:12:33,343 --> 00:12:34,507
[casey_]: kind of how's that group right

263
00:12:34,426 --> 00:12:35,146
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

264
00:12:34,547 --> 00:12:34,688
[casey_]: now

265
00:12:35,546 --> 00:12:43,511
[neil_schoepp]: so i'm in pensylvania and in virginia
i'm transitioning out of the small property so

266
00:12:43,852 --> 00:12:49,083
[neil_schoepp]: i actually only have one duplex left
and that i got a great story about

267
00:12:49,143 --> 00:12:50,065
[neil_schoepp]: that duplex case

268
00:12:50,437 --> 00:12:50,821
[casey_]: all right

269
00:12:50,686 --> 00:12:50,926
[neil_schoepp]: really

270
00:12:50,881 --> 00:12:51,245
[casey_]: dallas

271
00:12:52,129 --> 00:12:57,720
[neil_schoepp]: to really inspire your listeners but i
kept that duplex for a very specific reason

272
00:12:58,481 --> 00:13:05,787
[neil_schoepp]: and i have forty three doors here
in pennsylvania and then i have another eight

273
00:13:05,987 --> 00:13:08,214
[neil_schoepp]: doors down in virginia beach

274
00:13:09,195 --> 00:13:09,398
[casey_]: wow

275
00:13:11,027 --> 00:13:18,281
[neil_schoepp]: and those eight doors again just buying
properties properly having that plan in place and

276
00:13:18,341 --> 00:13:23,270
[neil_schoepp]: moving that plan forward so i can
discuss all of that i really want to

277
00:13:23,330 --> 00:13:25,354
[neil_schoepp]: get to the duplex really quickly

278
00:13:25,740 --> 00:13:25,922
[casey_]: okay

279
00:13:26,806 --> 00:13:31,417
[neil_schoepp]: duplex one of my tenants moved out
and that

280
00:13:31,282 --> 00:13:31,425
[casey_]: kay

281
00:13:31,657 --> 00:13:35,461
[neil_schoepp]: now needs to turn so i have
a seventeen year old son

282
00:13:36,044 --> 00:13:36,285
[casey_]: okay

283
00:13:36,181 --> 00:13:39,825
[neil_schoepp]: that seventeen year old son comes to
me and says listen i want to piece

284
00:13:39,885 --> 00:13:40,125
[neil_schoepp]: it is

285
00:13:40,800 --> 00:13:40,981
[casey_]: uh

286
00:13:40,956 --> 00:13:45,203
[neil_schoepp]: how can i get into this and
i told him straight out all right well

287
00:13:45,544 --> 00:13:49,871
[neil_schoepp]: you have some savings you do david
mss envelope system essentially

288
00:13:50,220 --> 00:13:50,362
[casey_]: yep

289
00:13:50,292 --> 00:13:56,252
[neil_schoepp]: you have some savings you you can
use that savings to purchase all of the

290
00:13:56,372 --> 00:14:04,860
[neil_schoepp]: stuff you need paint paint brushes corking
whatever you need to turn that unit you

291
00:14:04,961 --> 00:14:09,653
[neil_schoepp]: do all the work on the unit
and you earn part of that cash

292
00:14:09,610 --> 00:14:09,710
[casey_]: ah

293
00:14:09,734 --> 00:14:10,882
[neil_schoepp]: though oh

294
00:14:10,992 --> 00:14:12,996
[casey_]: well i mean and that's and how
old

295
00:14:13,107 --> 00:14:13,188
[neil_schoepp]: and

296
00:14:13,116 --> 00:14:14,038
[casey_]: you said seventeen

297
00:14:14,926 --> 00:14:22,547
[neil_schoepp]: seventeen and he's like in so again
people say well i have no money i'm

298
00:14:22,667 --> 00:14:28,298
[neil_schoepp]: sure your your your listeners have kids
that that complaining about they have no money

299
00:14:28,558 --> 00:14:34,324
[neil_schoepp]: you don't need money to get into
deals you need resourcefulness you need ingenuity you

300
00:14:34,364 --> 00:14:35,265
[neil_schoepp]: need creativity

301
00:14:35,950 --> 00:14:40,156
[casey_]: well you have to be able to
have those things otherwise it's makes it really

302
00:14:40,256 --> 00:14:40,797
[casey_]: difficult

303
00:14:40,836 --> 00:14:41,038
[neil_schoepp]: yes

304
00:14:40,997 --> 00:14:41,117
[casey_]: to

305
00:14:44,722 --> 00:14:50,011
[casey_]: and that's the whole thing like you
said resourcefulness is really that's what i focus

306
00:14:50,111 --> 00:14:53,517
[casey_]: a lot on teaching my kids is
resourcefulness i mean i don't care if they

307
00:14:53,557 --> 00:14:57,624
[casey_]: get it wrong i don't care if
they get it or they do something that

308
00:14:57,804 --> 00:15:00,268
[casey_]: the screws thing i mean as long
as they're trying

309
00:14:59,936 --> 00:15:00,098
[neil_schoepp]: yes

310
00:15:00,348 --> 00:15:01,510
[casey_]: as long as they're being resourceful

311
00:15:01,116 --> 00:15:01,321
[neil_schoepp]: yes

312
00:15:01,550 --> 00:15:04,956
[casey_]: as long as they're trying to say
okay hey i have this problem now if

313
00:15:05,016 --> 00:15:09,303
[casey_]: i have this problem what is the
first step i'm going to take towards solving

314
00:15:09,187 --> 00:15:09,349
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

315
00:15:09,363 --> 00:15:10,485
[casey_]: it what am i what's the

316
00:15:10,519 --> 00:15:11,026
[neil_schoepp]: hm

317
00:15:10,565 --> 00:15:12,889
[casey_]: second step i'm going to take then
you know

318
00:15:12,886 --> 00:15:13,133
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

319
00:15:13,270 --> 00:15:17,817
[casey_]: and and a lot of times what
i found very difficult to teach my kids

320
00:15:18,598 --> 00:15:25,619
[casey_]: is to think about all of these
steps before you start necessarily doing things that

321
00:15:25,719 --> 00:15:30,547
[casey_]: can't be undone if you get to
step three and it hadn't worked right so

322
00:15:30,948 --> 00:15:34,513
[casey_]: i'm not saying you need not do
step one because your scared step three is

323
00:15:34,553 --> 00:15:39,710
[casey_]: not going to work i'm simply saying
just have a vision for okay hey if

324
00:15:39,770 --> 00:15:42,415
[casey_]: i get to step three and it
doesn't work what's planned be you know what

325
00:15:42,435 --> 00:15:47,825
[casey_]: i'm saying so and that that's again
in my in my thinking in my way

326
00:15:47,885 --> 00:15:49,268
[casey_]: of teaching that

327
00:15:50,416 --> 00:15:51,087
[neil_schoepp]: yes

328
00:15:50,640 --> 00:15:52,508
[casey_]: is resourcefulness like the definition of it

329
00:15:52,516 --> 00:15:52,676
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

330
00:15:53,040 --> 00:15:53,201
[casey_]: oh

331
00:15:53,859 --> 00:15:55,443
[neil_schoepp]: my plan b is we're going to
figure it out

332
00:15:56,290 --> 00:15:57,352
[casey_]: that's right that's

333
00:15:57,327 --> 00:15:57,468
[neil_schoepp]: that

334
00:15:57,472 --> 00:15:58,114
[casey_]: right and and

335
00:15:58,073 --> 00:15:58,314
[neil_schoepp]: that's what

336
00:15:58,254 --> 00:15:58,955
[casey_]: and when you when

337
00:15:58,878 --> 00:15:59,181
[neil_schoepp]: to figure

338
00:15:58,995 --> 00:15:59,396
[casey_]: you have

339
00:15:59,241 --> 00:15:59,422
[neil_schoepp]: it out

340
00:15:59,456 --> 00:16:04,644
[casey_]: that yeah when you have that that
thought process of saying okay hey you know

341
00:16:04,684 --> 00:16:08,911
[casey_]: there's no there's no step in this
whole thing that has reversible where we can

342
00:16:08,991 --> 00:16:13,555
[casey_]: go back but you know because i'd
be honest with you one of my biggest

343
00:16:13,635 --> 00:16:15,436
[casey_]: weaknesses is is

344
00:16:15,436 --> 00:16:16,246
[neil_schoepp]: oh

345
00:16:15,596 --> 00:16:22,666
[casey_]: doing things that can't be undone first
and not not being like you know once

346
00:16:22,706 --> 00:16:26,195
[casey_]: you drill a hole that holes you
know what i'm saying i mean it's and

347
00:16:26,697 --> 00:16:26,777
[neil_schoepp]: so

348
00:16:26,736 --> 00:16:26,836
[casey_]: and

349
00:16:26,877 --> 00:16:26,998
[neil_schoepp]: when

350
00:16:27,017 --> 00:16:27,378
[casey_]: sometimes

351
00:16:27,038 --> 00:16:27,579
[neil_schoepp]: i get to those

352
00:16:27,478 --> 00:16:27,698
[casey_]: i get

353
00:16:27,699 --> 00:16:29,062
[neil_schoepp]: point i'm sorry

354
00:16:30,120 --> 00:16:32,784
[casey_]: sometimes he get a ittle carried away
this is probably

355
00:16:32,533 --> 00:16:32,614
[neil_schoepp]: so

356
00:16:32,805 --> 00:16:34,187
[casey_]: this way my wife says anyway

357
00:16:34,867 --> 00:16:37,411
[neil_schoepp]: that's when the heel sign comes out
right that's when

358
00:16:37,491 --> 00:16:37,635
[casey_]: yeah

359
00:16:37,812 --> 00:16:40,857
[neil_schoepp]: because i like going a hundred miles
an hour so when

360
00:16:40,832 --> 00:16:40,974
[casey_]: yeah

361
00:16:40,917 --> 00:16:43,221
[neil_schoepp]: i get to drilling that hole hold

362
00:16:43,050 --> 00:16:45,060
[casey_]: yeah

363
00:16:43,321 --> 00:16:46,648
[neil_schoepp]: on a second maybe i'm gonna maybe
i'm going to go twenty i was an

364
00:16:46,740 --> 00:16:47,190
[casey_]: oh

365
00:16:46,909 --> 00:16:48,112
[neil_schoepp]: a he and just

366
00:16:48,135 --> 00:16:48,298
[casey_]: yep

367
00:16:48,373 --> 00:16:49,356
[neil_schoepp]: all right with all

368
00:16:49,410 --> 00:16:49,430
[casey_]: m

369
00:16:49,417 --> 00:16:56,018
[neil_schoepp]: the information i have right now is
this the proper action to take okay if

370
00:16:56,014 --> 00:16:56,034
[casey_]: a

371
00:16:56,098 --> 00:16:59,367
[neil_schoepp]: it is the proper action to take
with the information i have right now that

372
00:16:59,427 --> 00:17:01,292
[neil_schoepp]: i'm acting in the best way i
can and

373
00:17:01,370 --> 00:17:01,491
[casey_]: yeah

374
00:17:01,392 --> 00:17:06,133
[neil_schoepp]: i'm going to forge forward and if
that turns out later on that i find

375
00:17:06,254 --> 00:17:10,609
[neil_schoepp]: out that it wasn't the best action
because now i have new information well that

376
00:17:10,649 --> 00:17:15,818
[neil_schoepp]: goes into that that goes into the
data base for the next deal with the

377
00:17:15,850 --> 00:17:15,992
[casey_]: yeah

378
00:17:15,898 --> 00:17:17,801
[neil_schoepp]: next scenario but

379
00:17:17,830 --> 00:17:17,974
[casey_]: yeah

380
00:17:17,841 --> 00:17:19,704
[neil_schoepp]: i'm not going to beat myself up
over it

381
00:17:20,221 --> 00:17:20,343
[casey_]: yep

382
00:17:20,546 --> 00:17:22,630
[neil_schoepp]: i'm going to be upset yeah i'm
gonna be upset am i going to be

383
00:17:22,691 --> 00:17:26,560
[neil_schoepp]: like down for a couple of hours
a day yes

384
00:17:26,420 --> 00:17:26,562
[casey_]: yeah

385
00:17:27,101 --> 00:17:31,803
[neil_schoepp]: but i'm not going to let it
fact me still forging forward

386
00:17:31,564 --> 00:17:35,416
[casey_]: ah that's right that's right because if
it does affect

387
00:17:35,416 --> 00:17:35,641
[neil_schoepp]: oh

388
00:17:35,456 --> 00:17:38,082
[casey_]: you then you might as well just
stop and go back

389
00:17:38,097 --> 00:17:38,219
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

390
00:17:38,122 --> 00:17:39,305
[casey_]: to your w to job right

391
00:17:40,696 --> 00:17:44,348
[neil_schoepp]: there you go atrigthey always jump off
the cliff then they build a parashoot

392
00:17:44,870 --> 00:17:45,350
[casey_]: that's right

393
00:17:45,170 --> 00:17:45,271
[neil_schoepp]: so

394
00:17:45,571 --> 00:17:45,751
[casey_]: that's

395
00:17:45,752 --> 00:17:45,973
[neil_schoepp]: that's

396
00:17:45,851 --> 00:17:52,602
[casey_]: right and and and that's what makes
that's what makes all of this stuff jibe

397
00:17:52,703 --> 00:18:00,235
[casey_]: and work and so so how how
many doors do you have how many doors

398
00:18:00,275 --> 00:18:03,039
[casey_]: are you up to right now what
do you have going on right this minute

399
00:18:03,527 --> 00:18:06,533
[neil_schoepp]: i'm up to fifty three and two
to fifty four

400
00:18:07,970 --> 00:18:08,150
[casey_]: that's

401
00:18:08,066 --> 00:18:08,206
[neil_schoepp]: three

402
00:18:08,190 --> 00:18:08,391
[casey_]: pretty

403
00:18:08,246 --> 00:18:08,447
[neil_schoepp]: and two

404
00:18:08,431 --> 00:18:08,632
[casey_]: good

405
00:18:08,507 --> 00:18:10,472
[neil_schoepp]: fifty five that's great mass

406
00:18:10,598 --> 00:18:10,919
[casey_]: mostly

407
00:18:10,792 --> 00:18:10,913
[neil_schoepp]: so i

408
00:18:10,999 --> 00:18:13,366
[casey_]: duplex quadplex triplex stuff

409
00:18:13,196 --> 00:18:19,284
[neil_schoepp]: what a three in pensylvania eight down
below and two here so that's forty

410
00:18:19,211 --> 00:18:19,432
[casey_]: what's

411
00:18:19,384 --> 00:18:19,604
[neil_schoepp]: five

412
00:18:19,512 --> 00:18:22,898
[casey_]: the makeup of unit sizes and stuff

413
00:18:23,876 --> 00:18:24,939
[neil_schoepp]: ah so

414
00:18:27,990 --> 00:18:28,274
[casey_]: oh

415
00:18:28,416 --> 00:18:31,502
[neil_schoepp]: primarily all two bedrooms are

416
00:18:31,841 --> 00:18:32,525
[casey_]: duplexis

417
00:18:32,164 --> 00:18:32,504
[neil_schoepp]: so i

418
00:18:32,726 --> 00:18:33,431
[casey_]: quadplexes

419
00:18:34,136 --> 00:18:35,398
[neil_schoepp]: plexus forty three doors

420
00:18:35,370 --> 00:18:35,470
[casey_]: ye

421
00:18:35,599 --> 00:18:38,825
[neil_schoepp]: is one building and eight doors is
another building

422
00:18:40,101 --> 00:18:40,485
[casey_]: and that's

423
00:18:40,667 --> 00:18:40,908
[neil_schoepp]: when do

424
00:18:40,951 --> 00:18:41,133
[casey_]: yeah

425
00:18:41,028 --> 00:18:45,816
[neil_schoepp]: plexeneitplex and one forty three do property
m

426
00:18:45,840 --> 00:18:47,843
[casey_]: wow and now let's talk

427
00:18:47,869 --> 00:18:47,889
[neil_schoepp]: i

428
00:18:47,883 --> 00:18:52,708
[casey_]: a little bit about outside capital how
much outside capital did you raise and how

429
00:18:52,748 --> 00:18:53,389
[casey_]: did you do that

430
00:18:54,777 --> 00:18:54,898
[neil_schoepp]: so

431
00:18:54,852 --> 00:18:55,198
[casey_]: if you did

432
00:18:56,661 --> 00:19:04,798
[neil_schoepp]: i didn't raise i didn't physically raise
the capital for the forty three the aplex

433
00:19:04,938 --> 00:19:10,027
[neil_schoepp]: we brought cash and the duplex we
just finance i mean the duplex was i

434
00:19:10,087 --> 00:19:11,309
[neil_schoepp]: brought the duplex a long time ago

435
00:19:12,021 --> 00:19:12,204
[casey_]: that's

436
00:19:12,050 --> 00:19:12,130
[neil_schoepp]: the

437
00:19:12,244 --> 00:19:12,366
[casey_]: true

438
00:19:12,711 --> 00:19:16,348
[neil_schoepp]: the duplex is my college savings and
for my daughter

439
00:19:16,830 --> 00:19:17,233
[casey_]: there you go

440
00:19:17,367 --> 00:19:21,729
[neil_schoepp]: so i purchased that back in two
thousand three is

441
00:19:22,220 --> 00:19:22,363
[casey_]: yep

442
00:19:22,410 --> 00:19:27,034
[neil_schoepp]: somewhere around there with the intent that
the equity that property

443
00:19:27,090 --> 00:19:28,170
[casey_]: yeah

444
00:19:27,094 --> 00:19:32,318
[neil_schoepp]: was going to generate would pay for
my college is my daughter s college and

445
00:19:32,378 --> 00:19:34,064
[neil_schoepp]: she's now going to pen state end

446
00:19:34,841 --> 00:19:36,000
[casey_]: okay

447
00:19:35,046 --> 00:19:36,069
[neil_schoepp]: it's paid for i don't have to
worry

448
00:19:36,090 --> 00:19:36,110
[casey_]: m

449
00:19:36,309 --> 00:19:38,436
[neil_schoepp]: i don't wake up thinking about how
i'm going to pay

450
00:19:38,491 --> 00:19:38,674
[casey_]: yeah

451
00:19:38,496 --> 00:19:40,141
[neil_schoepp]: for college because the

452
00:19:40,171 --> 00:19:40,413
[casey_]: sure

453
00:19:40,262 --> 00:19:40,623
[neil_schoepp]: duplex

454
00:19:42,082 --> 00:19:45,875
[casey_]: and and then so i'm assuming that
it kind of brings in brings

455
00:19:45,706 --> 00:19:46,456
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

456
00:19:45,996 --> 00:19:50,475
[casey_]: in money now and it money just
gets put back and then pays for

457
00:19:50,406 --> 00:19:50,530
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

458
00:19:50,515 --> 00:19:52,198
[casey_]: the school right and that's

459
00:19:52,046 --> 00:19:52,228
[neil_schoepp]: yes

460
00:19:52,278 --> 00:19:54,903
[casey_]: aw that's awesome and and it's

461
00:19:54,916 --> 00:19:55,433
[neil_schoepp]: ye

462
00:19:55,043 --> 00:20:00,171
[casey_]: just there you go there's the resourcefulness
of saying hey these this is what's causing

463
00:20:00,212 --> 00:20:04,138
[casey_]: me sleepless nights i'm going to be
resourceful enough to go out and figure out

464
00:20:04,218 --> 00:20:08,505
[casey_]: how to solve that and then once
you do solve it it's like dan was

465
00:20:08,585 --> 00:20:11,414
[casey_]: that that staples the button that easy

466
00:20:11,266 --> 00:20:12,407
[neil_schoepp]: yes that was easy

467
00:20:13,110 --> 00:20:13,130
[casey_]: m

468
00:20:13,147 --> 00:20:15,829
[neil_schoepp]: and it really was like by the
duplex the duplex

469
00:20:15,780 --> 00:20:15,881
[casey_]: ye

470
00:20:16,410 --> 00:20:21,875
[neil_schoepp]: generates your cash flow it then builds
equity i'm not physically paying down the mortgage

471
00:20:22,055 --> 00:20:22,255
[neil_schoepp]: right

472
00:20:23,240 --> 00:20:23,383
[casey_]: yep

473
00:20:23,536 --> 00:20:28,641
[neil_schoepp]: the clients are paying down the mortgage
that now has equity i take a heel

474
00:20:28,722 --> 00:20:34,128
[neil_schoepp]: lock or i re finance it and
i drew out that that capital the capital

475
00:20:34,208 --> 00:20:39,757
[neil_schoepp]: is then used to pay for the
college education which by the way clients are

476
00:20:39,817 --> 00:20:42,022
[neil_schoepp]: now still paying down that loan and
the property

477
00:20:42,021 --> 00:20:42,203
[casey_]: yeah

478
00:20:42,163 --> 00:20:42,944
[neil_schoepp]: still cash loan

479
00:20:43,540 --> 00:20:44,306
[casey_]: sure sure

480
00:20:44,476 --> 00:20:44,536
[neil_schoepp]: so

481
00:20:44,769 --> 00:20:44,971
[casey_]: i mean

482
00:20:44,898 --> 00:20:45,280
[neil_schoepp]: i'm still

483
00:20:45,233 --> 00:20:45,434
[casey_]: there

484
00:20:46,064 --> 00:20:47,893
[neil_schoepp]: o and college is free

485
00:20:48,470 --> 00:20:49,152
[casey_]: yeah there's

486
00:20:49,216 --> 00:20:49,439
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

487
00:20:49,232 --> 00:20:53,184
[casey_]: so many different ways to do it
man and everybody wants to and what's always

488
00:20:53,665 --> 00:20:54,347
[casey_]: what's always

489
00:20:55,127 --> 00:20:55,313
[neil_schoepp]: yes

490
00:20:55,750 --> 00:21:00,374
[casey_]: really kind of been a what's always
kind of been a pain point for me

491
00:21:00,614 --> 00:21:05,459
[casey_]: and in talking to people about it
is as wall street has done a wonderful

492
00:21:05,559 --> 00:21:12,855
[casey_]: job on the the way that they
you know think about how many people out

493
00:21:12,895 --> 00:21:15,620
[casey_]: there have these college plans with

494
00:21:15,516 --> 00:21:15,680
[neil_schoepp]: yes

495
00:21:15,780 --> 00:21:22,251
[casey_]: some investor advisors somewhere and that investor
advisors somewhere has this money tied up in

496
00:21:22,972 --> 00:21:23,413
[casey_]: stocks

497
00:21:23,057 --> 00:21:23,340
[neil_schoepp]: yes

498
00:21:23,613 --> 00:21:24,795
[casey_]: and bonds and this

499
00:21:24,908 --> 00:21:25,092
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

500
00:21:24,915 --> 00:21:29,363
[casey_]: and that and whatever and instead of
just saying hey why don't you why don't

501
00:21:29,423 --> 00:21:32,989
[casey_]: you let somebody pay the mortgage down
when when your child is born by do

502
00:21:33,109 --> 00:21:34,271
[casey_]: play fifteen

503
00:21:34,006 --> 00:21:34,171
[neil_schoepp]: ye

504
00:21:34,331 --> 00:21:39,239
[casey_]: year mortgage let somebody pay that down
over that fifteen years then when they get

505
00:21:39,279 --> 00:21:43,907
[casey_]: sixteen seventeen eighteen that's time to put
back a little bit and then and now

506
00:21:44,548 --> 00:21:48,395
[casey_]: i say all of this kind of
looking back on my kids childhoods as well

507
00:21:48,455 --> 00:21:53,603
[casey_]: so it's not something that i did
i'm just saying that that once i learned

508
00:21:53,623 --> 00:21:56,027
[casey_]: about all this and then wall street
has done a really good job of saying

509
00:21:56,067 --> 00:21:58,972
[casey_]: hey we will do this for you
and we will charge the hell out of

510
00:21:59,032 --> 00:22:02,498
[casey_]: you to do it rather than you
just going and buying it doing it yourself

511
00:22:02,819 --> 00:22:06,725
[casey_]: or even for that matter by side
by side single family residences or buy two

512
00:22:06,925 --> 00:22:12,515
[casey_]: you know whatever it takes let some
money pay those down over the first fifteen

513
00:22:12,196 --> 00:22:12,657
[neil_schoepp]: oh

514
00:22:12,555 --> 00:22:17,764
[casey_]: sixteen seventeen years of their life they
go to college re finance that pays for

515
00:22:17,824 --> 00:22:20,688
[casey_]: college or pays for most to college
and then and then really

516
00:22:20,607 --> 00:22:20,688
[neil_schoepp]: ah

517
00:22:20,889 --> 00:22:24,355
[casey_]: if you're still if you're still cash
flowing then maybe that even pays for mill

518
00:22:24,395 --> 00:22:26,959
[casey_]: plans and stuff you know what i
mean i mean it's just such

519
00:22:26,916 --> 00:22:27,100
[neil_schoepp]: yes

520
00:22:27,019 --> 00:22:30,304
[casey_]: a it's such a such a resounding
way to

521
00:22:30,168 --> 00:22:30,290
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

522
00:22:30,885 --> 00:22:34,421
[casey_]: to look at it and such a
such a

523
00:22:34,508 --> 00:22:34,589
[neil_schoepp]: to

524
00:22:35,102 --> 00:22:35,724
[casey_]: there's no middle

525
00:22:35,717 --> 00:22:35,798
[neil_schoepp]: no

526
00:22:35,744 --> 00:22:37,328
[casey_]: men in that deal you know what
i mean

527
00:22:37,907 --> 00:22:44,286
[neil_schoepp]: there is no middle meal wall street
is a business it's a business so those

528
00:22:44,727 --> 00:22:50,156
[neil_schoepp]: financial advices need to put food on
their tables they put food on their tables

529
00:22:50,236 --> 00:22:54,023
[neil_schoepp]: by the amount of products they sell
just like if i was selling cars or

530
00:22:54,063 --> 00:23:01,175
[neil_schoepp]: i was a real estate agent selling
house it's all their salesmen now that may

531
00:23:01,435 --> 00:23:07,705
[neil_schoepp]: work in your life's journey right maybe
you don't want to be

532
00:23:08,460 --> 00:23:08,721
[casey_]: oh

533
00:23:08,708 --> 00:23:11,335
[neil_schoepp]: yeah real estate is passive income right
but it's not

534
00:23:11,395 --> 00:23:11,495
[casey_]: ah

535
00:23:11,556 --> 00:23:13,281
[neil_schoepp]: truly passive like you have

536
00:23:13,230 --> 00:23:14,220
[casey_]: oh

537
00:23:13,341 --> 00:23:14,484
[neil_schoepp]: to work at it is

538
00:23:15,060 --> 00:23:15,810
[casey_]: yeah

539
00:23:15,506 --> 00:23:16,327
[neil_schoepp]: things that you need

540
00:23:16,200 --> 00:23:16,382
[casey_]: yeah

541
00:23:16,427 --> 00:23:20,230
[neil_schoepp]: to do there's things that you need
to attend to if you are going to

542
00:23:20,310 --> 00:23:25,034
[neil_schoepp]: have a duplex in town like i
self manage that duplex they ended up getting

543
00:23:25,075 --> 00:23:29,043
[neil_schoepp]: a water leak an hour before i
was going to walk out to eat the

544
00:23:29,083 --> 00:23:30,696
[neil_schoepp]: dinner and

545
00:23:30,827 --> 00:23:30,948
[casey_]: yep

546
00:23:30,996 --> 00:23:34,903
[neil_schoepp]: now i'm not at easter dinner and
i'm down at the duplex

547
00:23:34,770 --> 00:23:35,011
[casey_]: uh

548
00:23:35,083 --> 00:23:36,205
[neil_schoepp]: taking care of a water leak

549
00:23:36,439 --> 00:23:36,951
[casey_]: uh yeah

550
00:23:36,886 --> 00:23:38,990
[neil_schoepp]: like and at that point i'm like

551
00:23:39,030 --> 00:23:39,648
[casey_]: yea

552
00:23:39,631 --> 00:23:40,072
[neil_schoepp]: carson

553
00:23:39,813 --> 00:23:39,916
[casey_]: ah

554
00:23:40,873 --> 00:23:42,155
[neil_schoepp]: and everything else because i want to
be

555
00:23:42,160 --> 00:23:42,282
[casey_]: yep

556
00:23:42,195 --> 00:23:46,315
[neil_schoepp]: at easter but is it worth a
year it's worth that it's paying for my

557
00:23:46,395 --> 00:23:47,903
[neil_schoepp]: kids college education

558
00:23:48,553 --> 00:23:48,795
[casey_]: sure

559
00:23:49,116 --> 00:23:49,197
[neil_schoepp]: so

560
00:23:49,198 --> 00:23:49,380
[casey_]: sure

561
00:23:49,277 --> 00:23:49,798
[neil_schoepp]: you have to just

562
00:23:49,702 --> 00:23:49,884
[casey_]: yeah

563
00:23:49,938 --> 00:23:57,747
[neil_schoepp]: find what fits into your cycle i'm
not a big ah five five twenty nine

564
00:23:58,588 --> 00:24:00,049
[neil_schoepp]: college fund five twenty nine o five
ball

565
00:24:00,081 --> 00:24:00,224
[casey_]: yep

566
00:24:00,089 --> 00:24:01,431
[neil_schoepp]: nines i'm not a big five

567
00:24:01,324 --> 00:24:01,527
[casey_]: twenty

568
00:24:01,511 --> 00:24:01,771
[neil_schoepp]: twenty

569
00:24:01,568 --> 00:24:01,710
[casey_]: nine

570
00:24:01,811 --> 00:24:08,179
[neil_schoepp]: nine guy i decided to go a
route of duplex because the duplex looks better

571
00:24:08,160 --> 00:24:08,325
[casey_]: oh

572
00:24:08,240 --> 00:24:10,340
[neil_schoepp]: on my personal financial statement

573
00:24:11,153 --> 00:24:11,273
[casey_]: yeah

574
00:24:11,876 --> 00:24:15,340
[neil_schoepp]: it's just it's just the cash cow
it just

575
00:24:15,661 --> 00:24:15,782
[casey_]: yeah

576
00:24:15,801 --> 00:24:16,642
[neil_schoepp]: it just keeps buy

577
00:24:16,829 --> 00:24:16,950
[casey_]: yeah

578
00:24:16,882 --> 00:24:23,883
[neil_schoepp]: assets so that you can go out
there and play however you define that if

579
00:24:23,983 --> 00:24:28,391
[neil_schoepp]: you define that with fast cars or
you define that with vacation homes or you

580
00:24:28,451 --> 00:24:29,954
[neil_schoepp]: define that with ski trips

581
00:24:30,470 --> 00:24:30,612
[casey_]: yeah

582
00:24:30,656 --> 00:24:34,181
[neil_schoepp]: buy your assets so your assets paid
for you're living

583
00:24:34,880 --> 00:24:39,605
[casey_]: yeah yeah and that's and that's the
big thing and and of course everybody

584
00:24:39,496 --> 00:24:39,756
[neil_schoepp]: oh

585
00:24:39,645 --> 00:24:42,630
[casey_]: is looking at this market current the
current market and saying well how do you

586
00:24:42,690 --> 00:24:45,535
[casey_]: do that and how do you you
know the thing is there again it comes

587
00:24:45,615 --> 00:24:50,103
[casey_]: down to resourcefulness getting out and finding
the deals as what difficult right now but

588
00:24:50,784 --> 00:24:54,831
[casey_]: finding the deals really is difficult any
time if you're if you're not resourceful

589
00:24:54,659 --> 00:24:54,824
[neil_schoepp]: look

590
00:24:54,891 --> 00:24:57,575
[casey_]: if you're not trying to figure out
how to do it or what you need

591
00:24:57,615 --> 00:24:58,958
[casey_]: to do but giving

592
00:24:58,809 --> 00:24:59,506
[neil_schoepp]: okay

593
00:24:58,998 --> 00:24:59,939
[casey_]: you the steps

594
00:25:00,427 --> 00:25:00,447
[neil_schoepp]: i

595
00:25:00,645 --> 00:25:08,891
[casey_]: towards that is i mean at least
defining the steps towards what your goal is

596
00:25:09,011 --> 00:25:11,238
[casey_]: is the big that's the big in
my opinion

597
00:25:11,418 --> 00:25:17,246
[neil_schoepp]: yeah defining because that gives you your
road map right it

598
00:25:17,200 --> 00:25:17,323
[casey_]: yeah

599
00:25:17,286 --> 00:25:21,502
[neil_schoepp]: lets you know what you're striving for
it lets you know what to pay attention

600
00:25:21,603 --> 00:25:27,358
[neil_schoepp]: to and when you're focused on something
those opportunities then appear

601
00:25:28,031 --> 00:25:28,152
[casey_]: yeah

602
00:25:28,120 --> 00:25:32,447
[neil_schoepp]: and when you're telling people what you're
looking for and what you are doing over

603
00:25:32,527 --> 00:25:37,415
[neil_schoepp]: setting those opportunities appear we spoke about
it earlier you were speaking about it in

604
00:25:38,396 --> 00:25:45,253
[neil_schoepp]: becoming aware of the opportunities around you
and how so many people just live in

605
00:25:45,493 --> 00:25:50,341
[neil_schoepp]: their little lane in their comfort zone
if i told you don't think about the

606
00:25:50,401 --> 00:25:54,428
[neil_schoepp]: pink elephant right that's of a sudden
all day you're going to be thinking about

607
00:25:54,448 --> 00:25:55,650
[neil_schoepp]: a pink elephant when

608
00:25:55,622 --> 00:25:55,764
[casey_]: yeah

609
00:25:55,670 --> 00:25:58,274
[neil_schoepp]: you're going out and you're shopping for
a car what kind of car do you

610
00:25:58,294 --> 00:25:58,695
[neil_schoepp]: have case

611
00:25:59,432 --> 00:26:01,685
[casey_]: a truck sheverle truck

612
00:26:02,167 --> 00:26:06,434
[neil_schoepp]: okay so now you have a chevy
truck before you purchase that chevy truck you

613
00:26:06,474 --> 00:26:10,040
[neil_schoepp]: were like i really want a chevy
truck i really like blue is my favorite

614
00:26:10,100 --> 00:26:15,496
[neil_schoepp]: color i really want a blue chevy
silverado and then all of a sudden you're

615
00:26:15,536 --> 00:26:19,222
[neil_schoepp]: driving down the road and all you
see are blue chevy carados and you're like

616
00:26:19,282 --> 00:26:19,743
[neil_schoepp]: where the hell

617
00:26:19,645 --> 00:26:19,788
[casey_]: yep

618
00:26:19,803 --> 00:26:25,882
[neil_schoepp]: did all of these come from i
don't understand because you told you a brain

619
00:26:26,986 --> 00:26:28,533
[neil_schoepp]: to this is important

620
00:26:29,100 --> 00:26:29,940
[casey_]: yeah

621
00:26:29,216 --> 00:26:32,236
[neil_schoepp]: keep your eye out for this right

622
00:26:32,630 --> 00:26:32,773
[casey_]: yep

623
00:26:32,899 --> 00:26:37,409
[neil_schoepp]: and and that's literally how it happens
and

624
00:26:37,471 --> 00:26:37,672
[casey_]: well

625
00:26:37,490 --> 00:26:41,624
[neil_schoepp]: now i'm looking four blue she averts

626
00:26:42,040 --> 00:26:42,162
[casey_]: yeah

627
00:26:42,246 --> 00:26:43,953
[neil_schoepp]: drive down the street episode he once
for sale

628
00:26:45,490 --> 00:26:45,671
[casey_]: yeah

629
00:26:45,776 --> 00:26:45,979
[neil_schoepp]: okay

630
00:26:46,272 --> 00:26:50,218
[casey_]: you know and the other thing i
want to kind of shift back here just

631
00:26:50,258 --> 00:26:51,019
[casey_]: a little bit to the

632
00:26:50,986 --> 00:26:51,167
[neil_schoepp]: really

633
00:26:51,060 --> 00:26:52,041
[casey_]: mind set and you know

634
00:26:52,052 --> 00:26:54,385
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

635
00:26:52,101 --> 00:26:58,291
[casey_]: i was thinking i was thinking the
other day about you know was actually reading

636
00:26:58,351 --> 00:26:59,271
[casey_]: a book about elon

637
00:26:59,296 --> 00:26:59,316
[neil_schoepp]: m

638
00:26:59,372 --> 00:27:01,754
[casey_]: musk and um

639
00:27:02,176 --> 00:27:02,617
[neil_schoepp]: oh

640
00:27:02,634 --> 00:27:07,138
[casey_]: you know he first started space x
basically they had

641
00:27:07,756 --> 00:27:07,776
[neil_schoepp]: m

642
00:27:08,420 --> 00:27:13,969
[casey_]: told him or they hadn't told him
but but there was a excuse me there

643
00:27:14,009 --> 00:27:14,430
[casey_]: was a certain

644
00:27:14,206 --> 00:27:15,166
[neil_schoepp]: oh

645
00:27:14,530 --> 00:27:15,672
[casey_]: group around that

646
00:27:15,629 --> 00:27:16,126
[neil_schoepp]: kay

647
00:27:15,712 --> 00:27:20,159
[casey_]: was like hey this is just another
billionaire that wants to come into this space

648
00:27:20,440 --> 00:27:20,540
[casey_]: and

649
00:27:20,566 --> 00:27:20,850
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

650
00:27:20,620 --> 00:27:23,891
[casey_]: box and play around no billionaire has
ever actually

651
00:27:23,686 --> 00:27:25,456
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

652
00:27:24,011 --> 00:27:25,857
[casey_]: made it to space and whatever

653
00:27:25,666 --> 00:27:26,326
[neil_schoepp]: oh

654
00:27:26,037 --> 00:27:26,278
[casey_]: right

655
00:27:26,776 --> 00:27:28,375
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

656
00:27:27,891 --> 00:27:32,947
[casey_]: well he not only did he prove
him wrong to start with but then

657
00:27:33,616 --> 00:27:33,876
[neil_schoepp]: oh

658
00:27:34,290 --> 00:27:37,916
[casey_]: once and they said it says in
the book he wanted to be the southwest

659
00:27:38,056 --> 00:27:42,404
[casey_]: airlines of space and i'm thinking man
this is that's like and you got to

660
00:27:42,444 --> 00:27:45,549
[casey_]: think at the time two thousand three
two thousand four thousand five two thousand two

661
00:27:45,736 --> 00:27:45,962
[neil_schoepp]: yes

662
00:27:46,010 --> 00:27:51,363
[casey_]: in that area that it was such
a that was that was so far advanced

663
00:27:51,784 --> 00:27:58,804
[casey_]: of where we actually were then that
you know he just he had vision and

664
00:27:58,884 --> 00:28:03,011
[casey_]: i want to the reason why i
go back and talk about that is is

665
00:28:03,071 --> 00:28:04,132
[casey_]: because along with all of

666
00:28:04,126 --> 00:28:05,056
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

667
00:28:04,213 --> 00:28:06,917
[casey_]: this mind set everything else you have
t have a vision you have tae vision

668
00:28:06,997 --> 00:28:13,524
[casey_]: of what what do you vision if
you get to your goal what do you

669
00:28:13,764 --> 00:28:15,487
[casey_]: vision happening right

670
00:28:16,277 --> 00:28:16,641
[neil_schoepp]: okay

671
00:28:16,288 --> 00:28:18,372
[casey_]: and the thing the thing that

672
00:28:18,256 --> 00:28:18,976
[neil_schoepp]: oh

673
00:28:18,452 --> 00:28:21,096
[casey_]: i want to point out it's always
like russell brunson who is one of the

674
00:28:21,116 --> 00:28:27,302
[casey_]: greatest marketing minds ever says that you
know there was there was a bunch

675
00:28:27,188 --> 00:28:28,366
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

676
00:28:27,342 --> 00:28:31,208
[casey_]: of athletes trying to make the four
minute mile right they were trying to run

677
00:28:31,248 --> 00:28:31,449
[casey_]: a four

678
00:28:31,317 --> 00:28:31,499
[neil_schoepp]: yes

679
00:28:31,489 --> 00:28:35,195
[casey_]: minute mile the everybody was doing it
they were failing they were failing they were

680
00:28:35,235 --> 00:28:38,182
[casey_]: failing they were missing it by seven
eight ten seconds whatever was

681
00:28:38,656 --> 00:28:38,919
[neil_schoepp]: yes

682
00:28:38,666 --> 00:28:39,634
[casey_]: and then all of a sudden

683
00:28:39,777 --> 00:28:39,899
[neil_schoepp]: what

684
00:28:40,520 --> 00:28:42,413
[casey_]: one guy did i can't remember his
name all of a sudden one

685
00:28:42,386 --> 00:28:42,628
[neil_schoepp]: roger

686
00:28:42,473 --> 00:28:42,594
[casey_]: guy

687
00:28:42,668 --> 00:28:43,071
[neil_schoepp]: bannister

688
00:28:42,695 --> 00:28:48,036
[casey_]: did it you got yeah that's right
the four minute mile and then it was

689
00:28:48,056 --> 00:28:54,118
[casey_]: like once that happened everybody else started
doing it not me not you not

690
00:28:54,616 --> 00:28:55,720
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

691
00:28:54,639 --> 00:29:00,896
[casey_]: average people but the four minute mile
was then broke multiple times um and it's

692
00:29:00,916 --> 00:29:01,497
[casey_]: just it's so

693
00:29:01,702 --> 00:29:01,884
[neil_schoepp]: port

694
00:29:03,090 --> 00:29:03,490
[casey_]: that that

695
00:29:03,401 --> 00:29:03,521
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

696
00:29:03,551 --> 00:29:06,175
[casey_]: to me is just such a such
a i get so

697
00:29:06,196 --> 00:29:06,916
[neil_schoepp]: oh

698
00:29:06,255 --> 00:29:09,060
[casey_]: enamored at that thought of how

699
00:29:09,087 --> 00:29:09,107
[neil_schoepp]: a

700
00:29:09,180 --> 00:29:13,247
[casey_]: does it go from being so and
that's just like the space that the millionaire

701
00:29:13,307 --> 00:29:19,056
[casey_]: space race really right you know you
had all these jeff bassos richard brands and

702
00:29:19,297 --> 00:29:24,325
[casey_]: elam musk all trying to send average
every day people to space

703
00:29:25,216 --> 00:29:25,477
[neil_schoepp]: oh

704
00:29:25,487 --> 00:29:28,776
[casey_]: and their work they worked work they
work and then what all of a sudden

705
00:29:28,836 --> 00:29:29,378
[casey_]: within like

706
00:29:29,836 --> 00:29:30,160
[neil_schoepp]: oh

707
00:29:30,360 --> 00:29:32,343
[casey_]: i'm i'm going to say a couple
of weeks of one another

708
00:29:33,166 --> 00:29:33,447
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

709
00:29:33,204 --> 00:29:36,510
[casey_]: all you hear about is these three
space lanes you know these these people going

710
00:29:36,550 --> 00:29:37,952
[casey_]: up into space these average people like

711
00:29:38,386 --> 00:29:38,612
[neil_schoepp]: yes

712
00:29:39,154 --> 00:29:41,959
[casey_]: me you i'm i'm not an average
average kid the average

713
00:29:41,896 --> 00:29:42,117
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

714
00:29:41,979 --> 00:29:45,808
[casey_]: people us going to space and so
anyway i just

715
00:29:46,514 --> 00:29:46,534
[neil_schoepp]: i

716
00:29:48,232 --> 00:29:51,237
[casey_]: if that doesn't speak to mindset and
that doesn't resonate

717
00:29:51,136 --> 00:29:52,066
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

718
00:29:51,277 --> 00:29:56,145
[casey_]: in a way that makes you think
about your mindset then then i don't know

719
00:29:56,185 --> 00:30:01,061
[casey_]: what else to tell somebody that i
mean go acton w to job i guess

720
00:30:02,497 --> 00:30:08,326
[neil_schoepp]: so it's the tenacity that goes along
with that also el musk went to before

721
00:30:08,386 --> 00:30:11,552
[neil_schoepp]: he knew anything about rockets right he

722
00:30:11,592 --> 00:30:11,734
[casey_]: yeah

723
00:30:11,632 --> 00:30:14,937
[neil_schoepp]: went to russia and he sat with
russia and he said i want to

724
00:30:14,975 --> 00:30:15,116
[casey_]: yep

725
00:30:14,977 --> 00:30:17,001
[neil_schoepp]: buy a rocket and russia looked at
him like

726
00:30:17,020 --> 00:30:17,121
[casey_]: yep

727
00:30:17,061 --> 00:30:20,347
[neil_schoepp]: you're out of mind when it said
rocket go back to the u s you

728
00:30:20,387 --> 00:30:21,288
[neil_schoepp]: don't know anything about

729
00:30:21,100 --> 00:30:21,222
[casey_]: yep

730
00:30:21,368 --> 00:30:24,013
[neil_schoepp]: rockets and elan came back and

731
00:30:24,150 --> 00:30:24,393
[casey_]: oh

732
00:30:24,193 --> 00:30:28,603
[neil_schoepp]: he learned everything he could about rockets
he then

733
00:30:28,533 --> 00:30:28,655
[casey_]: yep

734
00:30:28,964 --> 00:30:34,387
[neil_schoepp]: that was that was his he hit
a road block and he said well i'm

735
00:30:34,447 --> 00:30:39,870
[neil_schoepp]: not allowing this to stop me i'm
becoming the southwest of

736
00:30:39,981 --> 00:30:40,484
[casey_]: of space

737
00:30:41,226 --> 00:30:41,526
[neil_schoepp]: space

738
00:30:42,120 --> 00:30:42,260
[casey_]: yeah

739
00:30:42,849 --> 00:30:44,031
[neil_schoepp]: and nothing was

740
00:30:43,969 --> 00:30:44,109
[casey_]: yeah

741
00:30:44,151 --> 00:30:44,632
[neil_schoepp]: deterring

742
00:30:44,553 --> 00:30:44,718
[casey_]: kay

743
00:30:44,692 --> 00:30:48,258
[neil_schoepp]: me off it that path and he
came back and he learned everything he could

744
00:30:48,298 --> 00:30:49,520
[neil_schoepp]: about rockets and

745
00:30:49,610 --> 00:30:49,731
[casey_]: yep

746
00:30:49,740 --> 00:30:53,866
[neil_schoepp]: i love this part he went back
to russia and he wanted to buy another

747
00:30:53,926 --> 00:30:57,649
[neil_schoepp]: rocket and russia said well you don't
know anything he was like yeah i know

748
00:30:57,809 --> 00:30:59,951
[neil_schoepp]: and he proved to them that he
knew it and

749
00:30:59,900 --> 00:31:00,043
[casey_]: yeah

750
00:30:59,971 --> 00:31:03,154
[neil_schoepp]: when russia wanted to send them a
rock he said no i just now never

751
00:31:03,214 --> 00:31:03,354
[neil_schoepp]: mind

752
00:31:03,481 --> 00:31:03,843
[casey_]: i can build

753
00:31:03,754 --> 00:31:04,015
[neil_schoepp]: you have

754
00:31:03,903 --> 00:31:03,983
[casey_]: my

755
00:31:04,055 --> 00:31:04,135
[neil_schoepp]: you

756
00:31:04,064 --> 00:31:04,225
[casey_]: own

757
00:31:04,195 --> 00:31:04,375
[neil_schoepp]: can

758
00:31:04,285 --> 00:31:04,587
[casey_]: cheaper

759
00:31:05,306 --> 00:31:11,830
[neil_schoepp]: yeah so but it's it's the tenacity
of having that clarity of vision

760
00:31:12,400 --> 00:31:12,521
[casey_]: yep

761
00:31:13,356 --> 00:31:17,231
[neil_schoepp]: knowing what winning looks like and then
producing that

762
00:31:17,600 --> 00:31:17,723
[casey_]: yep

763
00:31:17,854 --> 00:31:21,779
[neil_schoepp]: and not always knowing the how you're
never

764
00:31:21,641 --> 00:31:21,784
[casey_]: yep

765
00:31:21,819 --> 00:31:24,573
[neil_schoepp]: going to be able to lay out
the house from here to there

766
00:31:25,320 --> 00:31:28,405
[casey_]: and yeah yeah because you have to
it was just like you know starting your

767
00:31:28,425 --> 00:31:32,292
[casey_]: own podcast or getting into business or
doing anything you have to take that first

768
00:31:32,332 --> 00:31:35,577
[casey_]: step before you ever really start figuring
out okay how do i need to go

769
00:31:35,637 --> 00:31:39,584
[casey_]: about this because because once you start
wiggling into your nitch that's where things are

770
00:31:39,624 --> 00:31:41,627
[casey_]: going to start changing you know wat
i mean so

771
00:31:41,586 --> 00:31:41,787
[neil_schoepp]: yes

772
00:31:41,728 --> 00:31:44,813
[casey_]: that's how things are goin at change
well listen neil we're running out of time

773
00:31:45,674 --> 00:31:49,441
[casey_]: and with that i want to we've
got a couple of questions we every guest

774
00:31:49,481 --> 00:31:53,651
[casey_]: that comes on the show and the
first of those is what is the best

775
00:31:53,751 --> 00:31:56,578
[casey_]: book that you have recently read or
are currently reading

776
00:31:56,417 --> 00:32:07,384
[neil_schoepp]: wow the best book i've recently read
and currently reading i'm actually currently rooting do

777
00:32:07,485 --> 00:32:13,695
[neil_schoepp]: the impossible by jason trees it's a
mindset book of just getting into the right

778
00:32:14,136 --> 00:32:18,751
[neil_schoepp]: frame so that i can be an
alignment to where i'm going

779
00:32:19,240 --> 00:32:19,361
[casey_]: yeah

780
00:32:19,392 --> 00:32:24,761
[neil_schoepp]: that's a superb book i think one
of my favorite old time books is energy

781
00:32:24,862 --> 00:32:30,211
[neil_schoepp]: leadership by bruce nita which really walks
about it's another mind set book it's a

782
00:32:30,291 --> 00:32:31,533
[neil_schoepp]: coaching book and it just

783
00:32:31,573 --> 00:32:31,734
[casey_]: sure

784
00:32:31,593 --> 00:32:39,521
[neil_schoepp]: talks about different levels and how we
can we're operating at one level and what

785
00:32:39,621 --> 00:32:46,002
[neil_schoepp]: the next level looks like so that
we can start taking advantage of opportunities to

786
00:32:46,926 --> 00:32:52,776
[neil_schoepp]: to operate at a higher level and
the higher the level kind of the better

787
00:32:52,836 --> 00:32:53,501
[neil_schoepp]: life becomes

788
00:32:54,140 --> 00:33:00,066
[casey_]: sure sure ah well all right well
the next question is what is a dream

789
00:33:00,146 --> 00:33:02,649
[casey_]: vacation that you have either taken or
hoped to take

790
00:33:04,338 --> 00:33:11,129
[neil_schoepp]: so anything on the salt water so
i'm pretty my dream vacation is i don't

791
00:33:11,169 --> 00:33:16,279
[neil_schoepp]: remember the place but it's those thatched
huts where you walk out along a board

792
00:33:16,379 --> 00:33:21,132
[neil_schoepp]: walk over blue water your hot has
no walls it's just kind of like out

793
00:33:21,333 --> 00:33:25,070
[neil_schoepp]: there on the physical water but

794
00:33:25,010 --> 00:33:25,270
[casey_]: like b

795
00:33:25,231 --> 00:33:25,952
[neil_schoepp]: anything along

796
00:33:26,052 --> 00:33:27,736
[casey_]: bally or fig or

797
00:33:27,906 --> 00:33:28,107
[neil_schoepp]: yeah

798
00:33:28,217 --> 00:33:31,544
[casey_]: actually i think they have some of
those as close as can coon mexico i

799
00:33:31,604 --> 00:33:32,285
[casey_]: mean i know they do

800
00:33:33,126 --> 00:33:38,211
[neil_schoepp]: this is so i'm thinking about a
place somewhere in indonesia i saw it online

801
00:33:38,231 --> 00:33:40,333
[neil_schoepp]: and i'm like that's really cool but
anything

802
00:33:40,241 --> 00:33:40,385
[casey_]: yeah

803
00:33:40,393 --> 00:33:41,975
[neil_schoepp]: around the sort what i love the
salt water

804
00:33:42,420 --> 00:33:46,907
[casey_]: awesome and awesome all right well listen
